Heavier and higher vehicles are safer today than they were 10+ years ago, but you still need to be careful while driving them.

  • Do not overload them (all the technological advances cease to benefit you if there’s too much weight)

  • Be careful with customizing things (engineers assume you have generally stock equipment, if you toy with unique rims or suspension modifications, you’re asking for trouble)

  • Drive SLOWER (you can’t change the weight and height of the vehicle you’re in as you approach a hazard, you can’t change the distance at which the hazard appears in front of you, but you can always adjust your speed to match the abilities of the vehicle so that you’ll have a better chance at stopping and / or avoiding the hazard).
